The Process:
Choosing your own design will afford you a look and feel that is unique to your company's branding, while allowing you to take advantage of all the other tools that StructuredWeb has to offer along with the service. The following is a brief overview of the custom website template design process in regards to the overall steps that you will go through and what you can expect from the exercise.
1. Design Questionnaire
- The process is very simple and starts with a survey that you need to fill out and return to us so that we can begin to understand your needs
- A small form will be emailed to you for you to fill out and fax back to us. This will let us narrow down and create initial ideas for what you would like to have you site look and feel like.
- The better you can articulate your preferences, the smoother the process and the faster the turn-around time. Specify as much as you possibly can, from fonts to specific colors to images that you like.
- The questionnaire is just a guideline and the more information that you provide the happier you will be with the results.
2. Initial Design Review
- Once we receive your questionnaire, we will develop several design mock-ups.
- You will be provide you with 3 designs to look over. Each of these designs will be a .jpg, not the complete html. (an image and not a real website)
3. Choose Design Direction
- Select one of the designs from Step 2, and describe in detail how it needs to be modified from colors, to images, fonts, etc.
- Again be as specific as possible as this will be your largest round of changes.
- Uou will then get a final review and we will then accept a few minor changes from you such as font changes etc. but major changes like modifying the entire color scheme etc. cannot be done.
4. Design Implementation
- We will implement the design on your site.
- You will then be able to preview it on your site.
- When you are done we will publish it and make it live.
Designing a website is something that needs a good amount of thought. Pay attention to sites that you have seen and are attracted to, and make a note about what you like about it and why. Pay attention to colors, fonts, layouts, and images. Also make notes about what the message is and why it's keeping you attention. Designing and building a website can be a fulfilling and rewarding experience that can have a dramatic impact on the way your company will be perceived. Have fun with it!.
